How do I add a switch to an electrical cable and what switch do I need? - where are my security pre wires
I have a 1000W halogen lamps (garden type safety, but is not used outside), this was before cable with a plug for indoor use, I want to do is add a control box in the middle of the cable. Can someone tell me what kind of switch do I need? I need a light box, because I feel nothing about that in

I would be careful what you sit on it, is a hell of a lot 1KW light and heat, in fact! Why not switch the cables in a standard?

May I suggest you use an extension cord switch, it would be safer
Head down to your local Lowes, Home Depot, and buy a power switch "online" .. very easy to install ...
